In they came to the warmth of the kitchen in early January and a few days later -  tiny little green shoots of hope peeped through the soil.
 Here they are blooming away in the window at Soane – they loved this warm spot and flowered for over three weeks.
 The bulbs lit up the window – so relaxed and happy – and a perfect partner for the Seaweed Lace wallpaper at Soane.
 We also wanted to capture the wonder of the woodland floor – so early one morning we planted up pots and pots of primroses and carpeted the shop with them.
 And finally the blossom has arrived. So uplifting! So light, feathery and delicate.  The pale pink petals of the winter flowering cherry ( Prunus subhirtella “Autumnalis Rose” ) flower from November to March.  Wild cherry ( Prunus avium ) is no
